Veterans Day discounts for veterans and active duty military
Information from 2022 discounts were used in the compilation of this list. Please verify discounts on your own before going to restaurants and shops in 2023.
Local and national Veterans Day meals and discounts
Frisch’s: Restaurants will host special DAV events from 4-9 p.m. and donate 15% of sales to DAV. Check local restaurant for participation.
Taste of Belgium: Special DAV cookies will be sold Nov. 1-14 with $1 of each sale going to DAV. All 9 locations around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky will have a round-up on sales from Nov. 1-21 to support DAV.
Moerlein Lager House: A special DAV lager will be sold Nov. 1-30 (while supplies last) with $2 donated from each beer sold.
Golden Corral: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a free “thank you” meal starting at 5 p.m. on Nov. 13 for Military Appreciation Night. DAV members will be present at many restaurants to share how DAV keeps our promise to America’s veterans.
StandUp Wireless: A DAV partner, StandUp Wireless provides discounts on monthly telephone service for eligible low-income subscribers including veterans utilizing assistance programs such as SNAP, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or the Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit.

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar locations will provide special offers for veterans. Check specific locations for details.
Bob Evans: All veterans and active-duty military can select a free meal from a select menu on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans receive a free meal on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free entrée and non-alcoholic drink from a select menu on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Chili’s Grill & Bar: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a complimentary meal on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Chicken Salad Chick: Veterans receive a free meal on Veterans Day.
City Barbecue: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free sandwich, side and drink on Veterans Day.
Country Pride: Veterans receive a free country scramble dish at participating restaurants on Veterans Day.
Cracker Barrel: Veterans will receive a free dessert when dining-in on Veterans Day.
Denny’s will offer veterans and active-duty military a “Grand Slam” meal of pancakes, eggs and breakfast meat(s) from 5 a.m. to noon on Veterans Day at participating locations.
Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que of America offers veterans and current military members a free chopped pork sandwich and a side on Veterans Day.
Fazoli’s offers free spaghetti with meat or marina with the eFamily signup and app for Veterans Day.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers: Individual franchises restaurants will give veterans a free original double combo valid through Nov. 30.
Hoss’s Steak & Sea Co.: Veterans and active-duty military receive 20% off their meal and drink on Veterans Day.
Hooters: All military and veterans eat free on Veterans Day with a beverage purchase.
IHOP: A free red, white and blue pancakes or pancake combo will be offered to veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day.
Little Caesars: Veterans and active-duty military receive a lunch combo including four slices of pizza and a drink from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. Check individual locations for participation.
Max & Erma’s offers a free cheeseburger, fries and fountain drink combo with a cookie to veterans on Veterans Day. Dine-in only. Call ahead to verify restaurant participation.
Olive Garden: Veterans can receive a free meal from a pre-selected menu on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a free meal on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.

Yard House: Veterans and active-duty military receive a complimentary appetizer on Veterans Day.
Zaxby’s: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free boneless wing meal on Veterans Day.

151 Coffee: Veterans and active-duty military and their families receive a free drink on Veterans Day.
7-11: Veterans receive a free coffee or “Big Gulp” drink on Veterans Day.
Acola Coffee Company: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free house drip coffee on Veterans Day.
Biggby Coffee: Veterans receive a free 16-ounce beverage of their choice at participating locations on Veterans Day.
Bruegger’s Bagels: Veterans receive a free hot or iced coffee on Veterans Day.
Caribou Coffee: Veterans, active-duty military and spouses receive a free hot brew coffee on Veterans Day.
Dunkin’: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free donut on Veterans Day.
Einstein Bros. Bagels gives veterans a free hot or iced coffee on Veterans Day.
PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a free coffee on Veterans Day.
Smoothie King will offer veterans a free 20-ounce smoothie at select locations for in-store orders on Veterans Day.
Starbucks is offering veterans a free 12-ounce coffee on Veterans Day.
Retail and attractions
B&B for Vets: Bed and breakfasts around the U.S. offer specific Veterans Day free lodging deals. Check for availability and specific dates for 2023.
Great Clips: Veterans and current military members will receive a free haircut at salons on Veterans Day or a card for a future visit.
Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden: Veterans get in free on Veterans Day
Hy-Vee: A free breakfast buffet is offered to all veterans and active-duty military members at the stores.
Kohl’s: Veterans will receive a 30% discount during Veterans Day weekend.
National Parks: There is no admission to National Park Service sites on Veterans Day. Veterans and Gold Star families are eligible for a free National Park Service Lifetime Access Pass.
The National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, will offer free admission to veterans and active-duty military from Nov. 10-12.
