Last year, DAV helped veterans and their families file hundreds of thousands of claims—to get the health care, disability, employment, education and financial benefits they earned—and helped every step of the way.
DAV’s professional benefits advocates are located on over 100 installations and in offices throughout the nation. As our service members prepare to leave the military, DAV is there to help them file initial claims, access benefits and begin their successful integration into civilian life.
DAV operates a fleet of vehicles around the country to provide free medical transportation for ill and injured veterans. Last year, DAV volunteers gave more than 245,000 rides at no cost to help veterans get to VA and other appointments.
For many veterans, getting back to civilian life means getting back to work. DAV hosts career fairs across the country and online, connecting veterans with employers, tools, resources and opportunities that help thousands secure meaningful employment.
