DAV’s network of nearly 1 million members powers our mission to improve the lives of veterans and their families—through programs in local communities and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
The Recruit A Warrior program adds incentive to that impact.
Each spring and fall, DAV life members have the chance to win $1,000 through the Recruit A Warrior program.
Here’s how it works
- Generate your personal referral link using the form below during an active challenge.
- Share your link with other veterans—on social media, by email or in person.
- Earn entries by recruiting new paid members. Each new paid member who joins through your link counts toward your recruitment total and is an entry for the $1,000 prize announced at the end of each challenge.

Program details
- Referral links are valid only during active Recruit A Warrior challenge dates.
- Only new paid members who join using your personalized link count toward your total.
- Recruits must pay for membership in full or through a monthly plan.
- Free memberships do not count toward recruitment totals.
- Prize value may be subject to taxes as required by law.
- Prize winners are ineligible to participate in Recruit A Warrior challenge for one membership year following their award.
