DAV proudly congratulates retired Navy Capt. Royce Williams for his extraordinary courage and sacrifice, which has now been recognized with our nation’s highest military honor. In the face of overwhelming odds and without regard for his own safety, Capt. Williams demonstrated exceptional skill, valor and unwavering devotion to duty. His actions reflect the very best of our armed forces and embody the character and resolve that define America’s veterans.
It is deeply meaningful to see a hero of his caliber receive the recognition he has long deserved. As he marks 50 years of membership with DAV, Capt. Williams represents the finest traditions of service and sacrifice. Nearly one million fellow veterans are honored to count him among our ranks and to celebrate this historic and well-earned tribute to his legacy.
