A Fairfax, Virginia, based Army veteran and the co-founder of NextStepCare secured $10,000 in non-dilutive funding in a special pitch competition hosted by DAV (Disabled American Veterans), the congressionally chartered voice of America’s disabled veterans.

Dr. Jeremy Dublon is a distinguished podiatrist with deep expertise in surgical limb preservation and complex wound care. During his service in the Army, he rose to Deputy Service Chief at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He also advised the White House as a Medical Consultant and Surgeon to the President. Dublon is the co-founder of NextStepCare, a healthcare tech company that transforms between-visit recovery data into structured clinical data using AI to analyze trends, flag potential risks for clinician review, support more informed treatment decisions and reduce manual follow-up.

Dublon is an alum of DAV Patriot Boot Camp, a transformative entrepreneurship program that empowers founders in the veteran and military community with comprehensive start-up education, world-class mentorship, access to funding and a supportive community committed to their success. The program hosts multiple three-day boot camps throughout the year, with each cohort culminating in a pitch contest with money up for grabs.

In addition to the cohort pitch competitions, DAV Patriot Boot Camp hosts a contest immediately preceding the annual DAV and Auxiliary National Convention, held this year at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. This annual gathering brings together thousands of service-disabled veterans and their families, along with leading policymakers and experts, to help guide DAV’s advocacy efforts.

Six veterans competed in this year’s pitch contest and were interviewed by a panel of leading business experts. Dublon was voted the winner by a live audience of veterans and supporters.
