ERLANGER, Ky. — DAV (Disabled American Veterans) has named Cambridge International Systems its Small Employer of the Year. A Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, Cambridge offers expertise in aviation, operations, security and technology solutions to the U.S. government and partner nations. The award will be officially announced Aug. 2 during the 2026 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention in Orlando, Florida.
The national-level honor recognizes Cambridge as a leader in veteran hiring among numerous other businesses with fewer than 250 employees. Veterans make up approximately 33% of Cambridge’s workforce, including leadership and supervisory roles. For the past five years, Cambridge has maintained a veteran hiring rate between 30% and 45%.
To grow veterans in technical, management and executive roles, Cambridge offers tuition assistance and leadership training programs to its employees. Additionally, veteran and military employees have a platform to connect and access resources through the Cambridge Stars Employee Resource Group.
Cambridge actively supports veterans beyond the workplace through meaningful community engagement, corporate giving, outreach initiatives and public recognition of military service in the communities where the company operates.
