ERLANGER, Ky. — DAV (Disabled American Veterans) has named ENSCO Inc., an engineering, science and technology provider headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, its Midsize Employer of the Year. Representatives from ENSCO will formally accept the award on stage Aug. 2 during the 2026 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Beating out numerous other companies in the midsize category (organizations with between 250 and 999 employees), ENSCO was selected for the national-level honor because of its multiple programs that support veteran employees in every stage of their career.
Making up about 14% of the current workforce and 24% of recent hires, veterans are fairly considered for open roles, as ENSCO hiring teams are trained to translate military experience into civilian qualifications.
To support disabled veteran employees, ENSCO developed a centralized budget that expedites delivery of workplace accommodations. Veteran employees benefit from mentorship, professional development, tuition reimbursement, paid professional memberships and military differential pay for those continuing their service.
ENSCO fosters a veteran-friendly culture through recognition programs and military appreciation initiatives. Employees often participate in efforts that support veterans and military families and the communities where they live and work.
