Registration is now open for the DAV 5K event and is free for veterans
ERLANGER, KY (July 1, 2025) — DAV (Disabled American Veterans) will hold its 2025 DAV 5K, presented by USAA, at The Banks in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 8, and will also offer a virtual option that can be completed any time from Nov. 8–11. The DAV 5K is a run, roll, walk and ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. The virtual DAV 5K allows participants to show support for veterans from any location they choose.
In-person and virtual event registration, which fuels DAV’s mission of service, can be found by visiting DAV5K.org. Pricing for the virtual event includes shipping of a participant shirt, bib and medal. The DAV 5K is open to individual runners and walkers as well as participants using wheelchairs, hand cycles and motorcycles and groups who wish to form teams.
“Our hybrid 5K events give people a chance—no matter where they’re at—to honor our nation’s veterans,” said DAV CEO Barry Jesinoski. “The DAV 5K continues to spread awareness of their sacrifices. Your support helps us serve more veterans at no cost to them and allows veterans the opportunity to live their lives with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

About DAV
DAV empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: keeping our promise to America’s veterans. DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, providing employment resources to veterans and their families, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. DAV, a nonprofit organization with nearly 1 million members, was founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932.
