One of the most highly visible demonstrations of DAV’s fierce advocacy comes in February during the annual mid-winter conference in Washington, D.C. Each year, hundreds of DAV members and leaders gather to elevate the voices of our community and create meaningful change on Capitol Hill and beyond for veterans and their families.
We invite you to lend your voice to the cause and join us Feb. 23–26 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, as we confront the most pressing issues affecting veterans and their families, caregivers and survivors.
You’ll stand alongside National Commander Daniel Contreras as he presents DAV’s legislative agenda to Congress. You will also have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with your elected officials to share our critical policy goals for the 119th Congress.
Come join your fellow DAV members and leaders as we lift the voices of America’s ill and injured veterans and their families and work to ensure policymakers in Washington listen to their needs. Together, we can achieve our legislative goals and ensure veterans get the benefits and health care they have rightfully earned.
Contact your nearest DAV office. They will help you file a claim and stick with you all through the process, because no veteran should have to go at it alone.
DAV is an organization of veterans helping veterans.
The reasons are as individual as our members. Some join for the fellowship at our more than 1,200 local chapters. Some for the inspiring national events. Others for opportunities to serve their fellow veterans and their families. And many join to continue the fight to support the rights and benefits of all veterans. DAV understands the needs of veterans because we are veterans—1 million strong. We invite you to join our cause.

National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed each year on the third Friday in September to honor those who endured captivity as prisoners of war and to remember the servicemembers who remain missing in action.
During last month's DAV & Auxiliary National Convention, attendees heard from the Defense POW / MIA Accounting Agency about the critical work of recovering, identifying and accounting for missing servicemembers. The presentation included updates on the agency's ongoing missions, recovery efforts and legislative priorities.
DAV is proud to support the dedicated professionals working to bring answers to families and ensure America's missing are never forgotten. You can watch the full seminar recording on DAV’s YouTube channel here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbksUfmiW9Y...
What a week! ⛳️ The 2026 National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic brought veterans together for much more than a round of golf. Through adaptive golf, therapeutic activities and new recreational experiences, veterans had opportunities to build skills, challenge themselves, connect with one another and discover new ways to stay active.
From the fairways to the many alternate activities throughout the week, every moment was about rehabilitation, fellowship and showing what’s possible when barriers are met with the right support.
A huge thank you to the veterans who brought their determination and energy, the golf buddies and volunteers who were there every step of the way and our generous sponsors whose support makes this week possible.
