ERLANGER, Ky. – DAV (Disabled American Veterans) has named Michael Crowe of Arizona its top membership recruiter for 2023. DAV National Commander Joe Parsetich will present Crowe with DAV’s Top Membership Recruiter of the Year award on Aug. 6 at the 2023 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The award recognizes Crowe’s commitment to disabled veterans and their families by recruiting 185 new DAV members over the last year. This is Crowe’s second consecutive year receiving the award, which is a distinct achievement.

Crowe is an Air Force veteran who served at Bien Hoa Air Base in Vietnam. He has been a member of DAV Chapter 8 in Mesa, Arizona, since 2015. Crowe currently serves as the chapter’s first junior vice commander and previously served as chapter commander.

“Crowe’s accomplishments in welcoming fellow disabled veterans into DAV exemplifies his loyal dedication to our mission and to his brothers and sisters in uniform,” Parsetich said. “Having engaged leaders at the local level is what it takes to provide America’s veterans and their families with life-changing services wherever they are across this great nation.”

About DAV
DAV empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: keeping our promise to America’s veterans. DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill, providing employment resources to veterans and their families, and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. DAV, a nonprofit organization with more than 1 million members, was founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932.
