With COVID-19 infection rates rising and its Delta variant becoming more widespread, it is imperative that the VA continues to provide the millions of American veterans who rely on the department for their health care needs with the highest quality of care possible, including access to COVID-19 vaccinations and safe facilities. DAV applauds Secretary McDonough’s announcement that the VA will now require its health care workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. We are confident that enacting this measure will help protect the safety of both patients and staff, allowing for providers to continue delivering high-quality health care at VA facilities.
DAV response to VA health worker vaccination requirement
DAV is an organization of veterans helping veterans.
The reasons are as individual as our members. Some join for the fellowship at our more than 1,200 local chapters. Some for the inspiring national events. Others for opportunities to serve their fellow veterans and their families. And many join to continue the fight to support the rights and benefits of all veterans. DAV understands the needs of veterans because we are veterans—1 million strong. We invite you to join our cause.
