From Sept. 6–10, the Riverside Hotel & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa, will once again become the epicenter for adaptive sports as the National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic returns.
Veterans with blindness or low vision, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and other disabilities will experience the therapeutic benefits of golf and other athletic activities such as kayaking, biking and rock climbing during the weeklong event.
Dozens of coaches and hundreds of volunteers will ensure each participant has an experience tailored to their needs. The resource-rich program fosters opportunities for fellowship and camaraderie among the veterans—both returning participants and those discovering the benefits of adaptive sports for the first time.
