Held in July at DAV National Headquarters in Erlanger, Kentucky, the annual DAV Commanders and Adjutants Association orientation brought dozens of state-level leaders together to provide them with the tools and techniques needed to improve their skills and organizational knowledge.
Throughout the orientation, national staff led presentations on DAV programs and services. The event also offered a chance for attendees to share best practices and lessons learned with one another. Scheduled in the early summer, the orientation welcomes and educates newly elected state commanders and leaders in other positions.
“Our programs and services are always changing, and it’s essential that DAV leaders everywhere understand how they all connect to our main mission,” said DAV National Adjutant Barry Jesinoski. “This orientation provides the training, networking and tools that equip both new and returning leaders for the year ahead. It’s also a unique chance to learn from one another and renew our dedication to veterans and their families.”
