Thanks to DAV’s partner USAA, DAV member and disabled Army veteran Adam Greathouse and his wife, Stacy, got to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by attending Super Bowl LVII. DAV’s 2020 Disabled American Veteran of the Year, Adam has donated more than 5,100 volunteer hours at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He has shared his story with over 1,700 veterans and VA staff members, providing invaluable insight into what disabled veterans experience in their recovery. DAV is thrilled USAA chose Adam to attend the game as part of the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative.
Salute to Service NFL sends DAV member to Super Bowl
DAV is an organization of veterans helping veterans.
The reasons are as individual as our members. Some join for the fellowship at our more than 1,200 local chapters. Some for the inspiring national events. Others for opportunities to serve their fellow veterans and their families. And many join to continue the fight to support the rights and benefits of all veterans. DAV understands the needs of veterans because we are veterans—1 million strong. We invite you to join our cause.
CONNECT WITH DAV
DAV was honored to partner with Hamilton County, Ohio - Government Board of County Commissioners for the inaugural Hamilton County Veterans Appreciation Day at Great American Ballpark this past weekend. This free family-friendly event connected thousands of local veterans with resources (including health, legal, career, education, housing, and financial assistance) in a fun and festive environment. DAV Executive Director Cody VanBoxel addressed the attendees and thanked the many volunteers that allow DAV provide free veteran services.
