Local Involvement

September 25, 2020, is DAV’s 100th year of service to the nation’s service-disabled veterans, their families and survivors. In keeping with this auspicious occasion, DAV departments and chapters have been working with state and local officials to recognize and celebrate this special milestone in DAV history. Several state and local government officials have officially recognized the contributions of DAV and designating Sept. 25, 2020, as “Disabled American Veterans Day” in their respective states or cities.
