Website Answers Veterans' Questions About Health Care Law

posted on

Veterans looking for answers about how the Affordable Care Act affects them can find out from a new Department of Veterans Affairs website. Here’s the answer to one of the most frequently asked questions: Veterans receiving health care from the VA will see no change in their benefits or out-of-pocket costs when the law takes effect next year. To find out more visit the new website at www.va.gov/aca, or call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. or Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eastern time.  The new website includes a Health Benefits Explorer, where Veterans can learn about the benefits they can receive if they enroll in VA care.

Veterans having trouble with the VA and their use of medical marijuana can get help with that at Veterans For Medical Cannabis Access on Facebook. The VA has an official policy on Medical marijuana and Veteran patients should be advised as to it’s implications concerning them.
