Reynolds 'Talks Turkey' at NWTF Breakfast

National Commander Reynolds at NWTF Convention - Image DAV National Commander Robert Reynolds spoke out on the important role of hunting and other outdoor sports in the rehabilitation of disabled veterans during a recent breakfast held to honor veterans at the National Wild Turkey Federation's 32nd annual Convention and Sport Show in Atlanta.

At the Winchester breakfast, NWTF volunteers honored veterans and Purple Heart recipients for their sacrifices to our nation.

Reynolds addressed the newly formed partnership between the DAV and the NWTF's Wheelin' Sportsmen program. The joint effort is designed to introduce, or re-introduce, disabled veterans to hunting, fishing and shooting.

A lifelong turkey hunter and outdoor sportsman, Reynolds is a strong supporter of the partnership between DAV and the NWTF.

"The outdoor activities provided by this partnership will contribute to the enjoyment and quality of life for many disabled veterans and their families," Reynolds said. "I am proud that two organizations that I care deeply about-the DAV and NWTF-stepped forward to unite for this important mission.

"Those of us who have served and sacrificed for our country face unique challenges. And this partnership will give many of us the chance to re-examine ourselves and rediscover what is truly possible."

The DAV also hosted a booth in the convention hall providing information about DAV, their partnership with Wheelin' Sportsmen NWTF and how Americans can make a difference in the lives of disabled veterans.
