The RecruitMilitary-U.S. Chamber collaboration will help Corporate America respond to a challenge issued on August 5 by President Barack Obama. Speaking at the Washington Navy Yard, the President challenged businesses to hire or train 100,000 unemployed veterans or their spouses by the end of 2013.

Both RecruitMilitary and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce believe in the benefits of connecting businesses, including small businesses and veteran-owned businesses, with veteran and military spouse jobseekers.
RecruitMilitary has been connecting corporate America with veterans since 1998 with a full range of products and services, including over 325 veteran career fairs across the nation since 2006, a job board and veteran database of over 415,000 candidates that grows by over 350 candidates per day, and a magazine called Search & Employ with a bi-monthly circulation of 40,000 to 225 military bases worldwide.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Chamber launched “
Business Steps Up: Hiring Our Heroes,” a year-long effort to help veterans and their spouses find employment via special veteran hiring events. The U.S. Chamber has scheduled more than 100 Hiring Our Heroes events across the nation through March 2012.
Please support the effort to promote the hiring of military veterans by Corporate America.
