VA Surveys Health Care Enrollees
May 21, 2010
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is conducting the 2010 update of its national telephone Survey of Enrollees. Data from the survey provides critical and essential information on veteran utilization of health services, projections and the resources needed in VHA which is used in developing the VA’s budget and policies.
The survey collects information on a random sample of 42,000 veterans enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system who participate in a 15-30 minute telephone survey.
Each of the VA’s Veterans Integrated Service Networks will have approximately 2,000 enrollees surveyed. Interviews which begin the week of May 24 will continue for 12 weeks.
Veteran enrollees selected for the survey will receive a letter that provides information about the survey and the contractor conducting the survey on behalf of the VA.
