The two-hour premier of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will feature a disabled veteran, his family, DAV volunteers.
The show focuses on rebuilding a home for DAV life member Army Master Sgt. Luis Rodriguez, his wife and two daughters. Rodriguez, a medic stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, was injured in 2003 while en route to a recently looted hospital to deliver supplies to sick children in Mosul, Iraq.
DAV nominated the Rodriguez family to appear on the show. During taping in June, National Commander James Sursley was interviewed, and DAV members moved the family's furniture into their new home.
The show originally aired on ABC September 25 at 7/6 CST.
