Supporting Disabled Veterans and Their Families

There are nearly as many ways to financially support disabled veterans as there are ways to provide hands-on support and rehabilitation. Disabled American Veterans receives no government funds and is completely dependent on its members and supporters for all its financial needs.

Having earned the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance National Charity Seal, DAV is one of the most reputable charity organizations in the nation. It uses its funds to efficiently and responsibly help veterans and their families receive earned benefits; inform the public and lawmakers about the needs of disabled veterans; and to support programs that make a difference for our wounded warriors.

DAV supporters are welcome to make one-time, online donations. There are more ways still.

DAV Charitable Service Trust has earned a Four Star Charitable Rating by Charity Navigator. The Trust accepts gifts through workplace giving campaigns or employee fund drives, making it easy to give at work or through payroll deductions.

Memorial and honorary gifts are available to remember a loved one or mark special occasions. And, the Military Retiree Allotment Program allows retired veterans and their families to designate a gift through direct payroll deduction.

Planned giving such as bequests and gift annuities, which offer lifetime income, allow supporters to plan long-term gifts to support disabled veterans.

Further, the DAV National Service Foundation was established to develop financial resources to support the DAV’s service initiatives.

From employer-sponsored charitable giving campaigns, charitable gift annuities and matching gifts, to simply returning a donation after receiving address labels, the DAV wants to make it easy for the public to lend its support to help us fulfill our mission of building better lives for disabled veterans and their families.
