The DAV Mobile Service Office (MSO) will be at the Harley-Davidson Museum® for two
days providing free benefits assistance to veterans and their families. During this
time, the museum will feature a special display, One American Hero, telling the
story of Staff Sergeant Wallace Van Sandt, a young motorcycle enthusiast who was
killed in action during WWII.
On June 5th, Wallace's nephew Cleve Porter will be at the H-D Museum to share the
story of Wallace's life, military career, and his final resting place. The evening
will continue with a presentation from EAA presenter Adam Smith on the B-17 bomber
that Wallace flew during WWII. A question and answer session will follow.
$5 per person for Museum members & Military/Veteran, $8 per person for non-members

Stand Down is a two-day event for homeless veterans providing short-term and long-term
resources needed to begin rebuilding their lives. DAV will be present to help veterans
obtain earned benefits. All assistance is available free of charge to veterans
and their families and is staffed by highly trained professional counselors who
are skilled experts in benefits counseling.

Hosted by the Harley Owners Group® a U.S. National H.O.G. Rally offers perhaps your
best opportunity to meet fellow H.O.G. members from all over the United States.
Taking place at beautiful Oklahoma State Fair Park, CLUB H.O.G. OKC offers demo
rides, live musical entertainment, drill teams, stunt riders, the Biker Mania Vendor
Mall and the chance to party with thousands fellow H.O.G. members.
DAV’s National Service Officers (NSOs) will be present both days to educate veterans and their families regarding veterans' benefits and available services. DAV services
are provided free of charge.
Highlights of this year’s event will include the 2nd Annual H.O.G. “Wall of Ink”
tattoo contest and a rockin’ street party in the city’s historic Bricktown district.
Plus check out the women's experience with bike lift demonstrations, seminars on
healthy living tips, information on learning to ride, and much more. As always,
getting there is at least half the fun, as the surrounding area provides a mix of
wide-open prairie land and lush, rolling hill country. Plus, Route 66, the most
fabled road in America, runs right through Oklahoma City!

Street Glide (FLHXI) featuring patriotic war-era images and an illuminated Harley’s
Heroes® logo on the rear fender. In honor of DAV’s partnership with the Harley-Davidson
Foundation, DAV National Commander Rob Reynolds decided to customize his own bike
in support of the program.
